Evlgerton and the Junior Band of William Street School June 3. The festival began at eight o’clock in the G. H. S. auditorium with the mixed chorus, the Qirls Gfee Club, Clarinet Quarete, G. H. S. Dance Orchestra, W. S. S. band and the Goldsboro High School Band participating. The mixed chorus sang "They Didn’t Believe Me,” “Call To Re membrance,” "My Heart Stood Still,” and "Bells Of St. Mary’s.” The numbers by the Girls club consisted of "Kiss Me Again,” by Victor Herbert, "ITiey Say It’s Wonderful,” by Irvin Berlin, "Smiling Through,” by Arthur Penn, and "Come To Me,” (Moon light Sonata), by Beethovan. “Melody Petite,” by Frangkiser, Francis W. C. was rendered by the clarinet quartet which is composed of Bil ly Rouse, Lawrence Gurley, Charles Denning and Bobby Wiggs. The dance orchestra played "720. In the Books,” a medley, "There I Go,” “Until,” “All Through The Day,” “Buttons and Bows,” “Missouri Waltz,” “Sabre Dance” and “Two O’Clock Jump.” The William Street School band made its first appearance in the Goldsboro High School Auditor ium playing the following num bers: “Men of Ohio,” "Chalma,” "Mutual,” "Safety,” and “Zenith.” "Footlifter,” “Begin the Be- giune,” George Gershwin selec tion, "Au Pays Lorraine,” “Grem lin Ball,” and “Washington Gray,” was played by the Senior band of G. H. S. TTie two bands played "Nor mal,” and to conclude the pro grams the group of glee clubs and bands joined forces in their rendition of the "Star Spangled Banner.” Ideal Freshmen Girls Personality—Mela Royale.
