Clubs Serve School The Good Sports Club, wiith advisor Mrs. Hardesity’ plays a large ipart in our athiletios and school spirijt. The cl'Uh sells :ribbon8, cor sages, and confetti through out the year. The SOS Club, under ithe diirection of Mrs. Hardy, is not necessarily a plea for help. “Service Over Self” is the meaning of ithis dub. This dub sells basketball programs, manages .the ihase- ball concession stands, and mainitains' the sdhool’s beau tiful indoor gardens. Raising, loweron.g, and car ing for the flag, presenitinig devoftionals, and sel'linig foort- ■ball iproigraims are three of the main duties for mem bers of Ithe Service Oluh, The advisor of itihiis club is Mrs. Winstead. Mrs. Speig>hit, advisor of the Phalanx ^Inb, will supervise this service club in scleatirug the basketball “player of the week,” basketball “player of the year,” and in perform ing various services around the school. The selling of pliastic Hi- Noc-Ar covers, helping at P.T.S.A. activ.ities, and serv ing Tefreshimenits after iChe Easiter Sunrise Services are all a part of the Kudos Club 'aotivlties. The Booster Club, under the ddrectioin of Mrs. Brad ley and M,rs. Lundy, strives to “boost” all school activi ties, indudinig social eveiiits, seh.ool projects, and spoaits. The club is now selling pom poms for the fooitball games. The Fellowship of Christ ian AitJhletes and .the Mono- giram Club meet on alter nate Moindays. Comprised of boys playing both major and mimor sports, the clubs are under the supervision of Mr. Lwndy (Monogram) and Mr. Whitley (Fellowship of Cihrdstian Ajthletefe). The Radio Biroadcasters Cluh, Mr. Gorham .and Mr. Doles, 'is a elub for stu- deaits liniteresited in elec tronics aaid the radio field. The du;b gives school news and activiities on Radio Sta tion WCECandiW|EiED twice a week for a half-hour. The Greait Music Club, under the dia-eotion of Mrs. Bobbitt, studies and enjoys work in the field of music. Miss Grant and Miss Craig- hill help members of the Bridge Clu.b to understand and enjoy .the game of bridge more. This Is one of the hobby duibs of Senior High.
