The boys and girls par ticipating in this program wUl, like P. E. students attend class es in the morning and work, in the afternoons. The program is especially beneficial for those who don’t want the college pre paratory program. The I.C.T. was planned by the administration. Mr. Lloyd Thrower is the co-ordinator. Anyone who is interested in participating in the program is to contact Mr. Long at the Guidance center. The training jobs open to both boys and girls are numerous. Besides being December’s Ki wanis boy, who is Joihnny Hart ness? He is a member of the National Honor Society, the Hi- Noc-Ar staff, treasurer of the Student Organization, and drum major of the Rocky Mount High School band. Johnny is a senior, who has been accepted at Duke Univer sity under early admissions. He enjoys aU of his subjects, but is particularly interested in DAVIS & CO. INC. 1011 S. CHURCH STREET mathematics and English. His major in coUege will probably be some field of science. As his career shows, Joihnny is not only extremely intelligent but also very enthusiastic in promoting sdiool spirits and activities. Johnny has had various ex periences while Uving in three states: Georgia, South Caro lina, and North CaroUna. John ny’s hobbies are playing bridge, tennis and musical instruments. He is a talented pianist and French-horn player. Johnny is also an active member of Lakeside Baptist Church. He is president of the Youth CouncU in the church and frequently playis the organ on Sunday nights.
