Doug is interested in photo graphy because it can be crea tive work as well as a science. All of these jobs involve quite a bit of time and work. One would think that with all Doug has to do at school, he would not have any spare time for outside activities. TIms is definitely not true. He is active in the Youth Fellowship of tiie First Presbyterian Church and is also a member of the Albe marle Presbytery Youth Coun cil. Next year he hopes to attend the University of North Caro- lina at Chap«i Hill where hq wiU major in chemistry. “I hope to work m a research lab in the summers, so that I will be farther along toward my goal, which is to be employed in the research lab of one of the large firms.” DOUG BRADHAM, Kiwanis Boy for October, is already woridng on the pictures for this year’s annual. She has also spent several of her sum mers studying at such colleges as State and Atlantic Christian MISS CRAIGHILL shows sophomore Harriett Brinn how to operate the equipment in the language laboratory. College. This is her second year of teaching the new series of books being used for the first and second year French, and this series is “quite different” from the old. The first and second year Spanish books are quite a bit like the French books. Accord ing to Mrs. Suzanne Sifford, who received her degree at Lenoir-Rhyne, the new books are “based on the student who wants to learn to speak a for eign language.” She also feels, as Mrs. Hayworth does — that FOR THE BEST IN DAIRY PRODUCTS GET SEALTEST Let's talk about COLLEGE EDUCATION - facts r' It*s going to cost a lot of pioney.
