Page 8 THE GRYPHON Friday, December 17,1971 V .A- € As Santa Views Honor Roll Members of the Good Sports Club recently decorated their XMAS tree, an annual event at RMSH. Christmas Tree Decorated By Good Sports Members The Good Sports Chib began decorating and filling RMSH with Christmas spirit through their Christmas party, held De cember 8. The party took place in the lobby where a tree was gaily decorated and windows a- dorned with snow. Along with the joy and fun of decorating for Christmas, spe cial thought was given to those who are less fortunate than we. Each member brought food and clothing for a needy family that the chib decided to support for their Christmas project. The Good Sports Chib tree, which stands in the lobby, is not just a decorated tree with ordinary, insensitive orna ments! It is a tradition that the junior girls of the chib make their own original orna ments for the tree. Through the years, many very Ideal and interesting ornaments have re sulted from this tradition. As everyone may have no ticed, the girls attached the sorts of happy thoughts, which Mrs. Bell found quite amusing. After the lobby was decorat ed, the girls ate frilley cupcakes and drank icy punch. As the girls exchanged gag gifts, Mrs. Bell was presented with aster- ling silver compact from aUthe girls. The Good Sports Chib left their own special touch of Christmas and wish all of RMSH a very merry holiday. CO-E-CO CRROUN/t Office eoumiKT CO, MR. CO-E-CO b For THE GRYPH(»«3 AQ the Way! Semester Exams Semester exams will busily engage sophomores and juniors January 20, 21, and 22 when the first three six-weeks grad ing periods end. However for seniors, plans have changed! This year, for the first time, semester exams will be optional for Seniors. This was one of the senior privileges given to them for the 1971-72 school year. If a senior elects not to take an exam, his semester grade will be determined by the aver age of the three six-weeks gra des. However If a senior de cides to take the exam, his semester grade will be deter- mined by the average of his six-weeks grades and the exam grade. Seniors not taking the exam must notify the subject teach er ten school days before the end of the semester whether they plan to take the exam or not. Many seniors will pro bably decide not to take the exam and will keep their aver age of the first three six-weeks. OAKWOOD PHARMACY “THE NEIGHBORHOOD PHARMACY” 329 Fairview Rd.
