PAGE 10 THE GRYPHON DECEMBER 20, 1973 Torture s T^hc dvrvst> On Human Life Back Into Christmas Unfortunately, one (rf the blacker arts that has im proved with technological advances is the art of torture The December SCIENCE DIGEST reports that as a means of rounding out their political muscle, some countries have hired scientists highly skilled in parmacology, behavior modification and electrical technology to devel^ and administer high ly sophisticated torture to dissident citizens. The result has been ^uipment as basic as electrified needles that are inserted under fingernails or as elaborate as a series of psychoactive drugs that administer pain and release from pain at the twturer’s will. Let’s put the Christ back into Christmas. God gave man the greatest gift all which was Christ. The exchanging of gifts came from this and has continued throughout the years. Gifts are given through love and joy because that is why God gave us Christ. Time after time we have put more emphasis on the Santa hang up, but why not the Christ hang up? We receive much from Santa, but more can be received from Christ which is of a better quality than that of anything. Come back to the real thing and spread the news: “Joy, Joy! Jesus Christ was bom for us! He hath opened the heavenly door Movie Review By Kim Nelson “TIME TO RUN” Very rarely does a G- rated movie attract such a crowd of viewers, both young and old, as “Time to Run.” This movie, taken from a story by Dave Hunt, shows the empty life of Jeff Cole, a teenager who is all alone in the world. He deserts his parents and girlfriend because his concepts of life are not the same as theirs. He is afraid to admit that he needs things that others have to offer, consequenlty; he misses out on many rewar ding experiences. After spending many lonely nights alone, sleeping in his van or in a vacant house, he realizes that he needs a f riend who will always be by his side. He finds this friend in Jesus. “Time to Run” was an inspirational movie that conveyed a definite message to the viewer about teenagers’ feelings toward God. The movie, starring Ed Nelson, Randall Carver, and Barbara belts limuraiKe jmd realty co. t j Call us for I Insnranee land realty Sigel, featured a guest per formance by the famous evangelist, Billy Graham. Let there be peace, that most precious gift. And let it begin with me. Everything we have was once considered impossible. Improve today. That’s where you live. Let your problems wait for a brainy day. Who is witness to a wrong and does not protest is an ac complice to that wrong. Christmas again... It’s great to be alive! A sin confessed is half stoned. Beware! Take care! Don’t lose your head! Your brains are there. Today is yours, a priceless gift.
