PAGE 12 THE GRYPHON SEPTEMBER 30, 1974 p,..--*■ » '«(t SRA Opens Year By Welcoming All The first meeting of the Student Representative Assembly was held in the Rocky Mount Senior High auditorium Tuesday, Sep tember 17, with President Nacy Davis presiding. The Social Committee announced plans to host the year’s first Hey-Day on September 17 in the cafeteria from 3:30 to 4:30 in the af ternoon. The purpose of Hey- Day is to welcome new students and teachers to RMSH and to the community. President Nancy Davis announced the following members of the SRA for the Pictured above left to right are Junior Class President Corbi BuUuck, Senior Class President Frank Inscoe and Sophomore Class President M^ Stewart. New Leaders Revealed The class presidents for Rocky Mount Senior High year are Frank Inscoe (Senior class president), Corbi Bullock (Junior class president), and M^ Stewart (Soi*omore class president). The Gryphon interviewed these individuals and queried what they had in store for their fellow class members this year. Frank Inscoe stated that he had many plans for the senior class this year; among these are a special privilege committee for seniors, a gift committee to give a gift from the senior class to the school. He also hopes the senior class does well in the magazine sale. Corbi Bullock plans to unite the junior class to get more done this year. She wants to involve as many juniors as possible in school activities. Showing up well in the magazine sale and the homecoming parade are her objectives, too. There will also be formed a central committee of juniors which will act for the junior class. Corbin hopes to do a good job representing her class in the school. Meg Stewart, the sophomore president is new to the student council system at Senior High, but says she will become accustomed to it soon. MANAGER Blood mobile “Back by Demand” was the slogan seen on many posters urging Senior High students and others to donate blood this year. Many students seventeen and older reacted quite enthusiastically Tidewater Blcod- mobile^was located at the First Presbyterian Church from Wednesday, September 18, until Friday, September 20, The Bloodmobile’s three- day goal this trip was 405 pints.
