Hardy Receives
Teacher Award
Mrs. Elizabeth Hardy was
named Teacher of the Week on
November 16 by the North
Carolina Association of Edu

until the day afterwards.
Attending jury duty during the
time she was selected, Mrs.
Hardy said she returned to
school with congratulations and
was very confused as to what
was going on. When the news
was announced she replied, “I
was quite honored and sur
prised.”
This is Mrs. Hardy’s 18th
year of teaching school.
Although she has mostly taught
English during her teaching
career, Mrs. Hardy has also
taught some Algebra, Physics,
and Journalism. Mrs. Hardy has
taught at Rocky Mount Senior
