H. M. AUSTIN, Jr.
As 11-2 representative to the
Advisory Council, H. M. Austin,
Jr., has proved his leadership abil
ity. During his senior year he
has served as president of his home
room and of the French club. An
active member of the Glee club,
he has shown much progress in his
music this year. His good disposi
tion, friendliness, and co-operative
spirit have made him a popular
member of the senior class.
H. M. has an unusual hobby of
collecting odd rocks. His favorite
pastimes are reading and horseback
riding. “In the sports world,” he
says, “I like swimming and foot
ball best. Lloyd C. Douglas and
‘Vein of Iron’ are my favorites in
literature.”
Next year, H. M. expects to at
tend Elon college, where he will
begin a law course. After two
years at that school, he plans to
complete his work at Wake Forest.
