Page 8 THE FULL MOON March/ 1954 Bible Club Holds Monthly Meeting AHS Bible Club held its March meeting at the First Presbyterian Church on March 6. The topic for the meeting was ‘'What’s Next,” which was a dis cussion on Christian occupations opened to young people. Mr. Sapp spoke on the Ministry, followed by Jane Sigmon speaking on church secretaries, Geddie Strickland on Missionary work, and Miss Abra- hamsen on Bible teachers. During the program Arce Rose Rich sang “My Heavenly Father Watches Over Me” and Geddie Strickland sang “What Shall I Give Thee, Master”. After the discussion, reports were heard from the treasurer and from the contest to have more members present at the meetings. The first edition of the Bible Club Newspaper was given to the mem bers. Eugene Burris, president of the Bible Club, presided, and Amorelle Tucker was the accompanist for the songs. F.H.A. Under'i'akes Various Projects Members of the Future Home makers of America have been busy working on various proj ects. The club members made and served refreshments when the Mixed Chorus entertained the North Carolina Symphony on February 26. Refreshments were prepared also by the group for the Alex ander Graham ninth grade cho rus and the AHS ninth grade chorus after their concert at the high school. Approximately 175 people have been served by the FHA since Christmas. At the next meeting Sue Furr and Opal Eudy, two very active members of the club, will com plete the necessary requirements for FHA pins, which are given only to those girls contributing to community and school work in the specific manner stated by the constitution of the national organization.
