All ninth graders will be re quired to study geography two days a week, and the freshmen who are weak in their reading will be given a reading course in connection with their English. Each of the four classes will have homeroom period at a different time during the day. Rising Freshmen Visit High School Ninth grade students played host to the eighth graders from the four grammar schools in Al bemarle in a “get acquainted” campaign last week. “The purpose of these visits is to acquaint the rising freshmen with the building, teachers, and changing of classes,” stated Mr. Cashwell. Each ninth grader was assign ed to show an eighth grade stu dent around for an entire day from first to fifth period. Given to each pupil was a mimeograph ed sheet listing all the subjects which he is to take during his four years of high school.
