Ninth Jimmy Holt, Nelson Smith, Prom Committee Works On Dance Concentrated planning on the Junior-Senior Prom has been be gun by the Prom Committee of the Junior class. The function of this committee is to decide on the place the Prom is to be held, choose a theme for the event, decorate, and get a band to furnish the music. The following are members of the committee: chairman. Tom my Murrell, Cary McSwain, Wade McSwain, Eddie Burleson, Ronnie Millican, Graham Harwood, Gay Crowell, Richard Peck, Stanley Lawhon, Charles Delk, Judy Efird, Betty Holt, Peggy Lisk, Diane Watkins, Kay Swindell, Kitty Almond, Peggy Sbiith, Pat Starnes, Pat Smith, Rita Morris, Joyce Burris, Martha Huckabee, and Sue Winn. The committee has been meet ing every Tuesday and Thursday, but no information has been dis closed. However, it is a known fact that the Prom will not be held in the gym due to the work that was done on it, and the damage past proms have done. At this time the committee says the prom will probably be held in the armory, and that they will have only three days to dec orate. The money raising campaign is almost over now. The Juniors are managing the basketball con cessions, and they have grossed a total of about five hundred dollars on all their projects.
