Girls Prove They're Smarter By Leading Term Honor Roll Teachers' Gray Hairs Explained Do you know the different types of blood? Well, they are red, white, blue, and yellow—at least, that’s what one freshman girl believes, according to her exam paper. Another thinks that you take your temperature to tell how many times your heart beats a minute. Mrs. Westerlund pleads with her students to read their as signments and not just listen on class. One of her answers on exams was supposed to be the “Wade-Davis Bill.” On one of her tests she discovered that one girl had just heard it on class and had written it the way she heard it. Her answer was “the way David’s filled.” Pay careful attention to the next few lines, for here are some astounding facts from Mr. Cash- well’s geography class. Now it is Marco Polo who discovered the North and South Poles. The stu dents in Mr. Cashwell’s class also had to explain the “whys” of night and day. One student answered that they occurred because the earth’s surface was moving on the world. You may not believe it, but these were actual answers. do better than last year. Last year they received Excellent in both district and stdte contests, and this year they hope to get Superior. Two years ago was the only time the AHS Band has ever received Superior, and they hope to do it this time.
