Pat Starnes and Jo Parks, the negative team defeated Moores- ville’s affirmative- twosome at Kannapolis. Lane Brown and Georgette Lampsi, defending the affirma tive viewpoint of the debate topic, travelled to Mooresvlile for their successful verbal bout. The 1958 topic for debate was Resolved: That United States foreign aid should be substantial ly increased. A new rule in the Triangular Debates requires all teams to travel, giving no school the ad vantage of debating on home territory.
