Lewis of V/est Pftlm Beach, Fla., held a family reunion at their home in the Webbmont sect;.on of Highlands last week for Mrs. Lev/is' side of the house with a special reunion dinner on Sunday, July 28th. Those present were Mr. and Mrs, George Wickline and two children, Bobby and Bev erly, Miss Margaret VJickline, Mr, and ivlrs. Harry Young and son, Uickie, all from Ohio, and Mrs, Richard Dougherty of West Palm Beach. This was the first time the family had been together in fifteen years and the clear weather helped to make the week an unusually pleasant occasion. Swimming in Gliffside Lake, fishing and picnics were enjoyed through the week. The Ohio members of the family left Mon day to return to their respective homes and Mrs, Dougherty is continuing her visit. INTEREST CENTERS IN ENGAGEMENT ANNOUNCEMENT Wide interest centers in the announce ment of the engagement of I/Iiss Marie Le- once Wall of Thomasville, Ga., to John Legui Many of New Orleans, carried by Sunday's Atlanta Journal. Miss Wall is the daughter of Dr. and }drs. E. K, Wall who own an attractive summer home on East Main Street. Mr*Many is the son of Mrs. Clara Hepburn Many and the late John L. Many. The Manys have owned a summer home on Satulah Mountain for the past twenty years. NORTON FAJiULY HOLD ANNUAL REUNION The annual Norton family reunion was held near Cashiers last Sunday. Arouind 200 relatives and friends gathered for this occasion. The principal address of the day was made by Dean Byrd of Cullowheej among the other speakers were 1/irs, Hattie Brcwn of Cullowhee, and Mrs. Effie Picklesimer of 1'rhiteside Cove. Mrs. J. Z. Gottwals was perhaps the old est member of the family in attendance. She is now in her 86th year. Mrs. Meta W. Hall a member of the Norton family was to have beon a guest at the re union but illness prevented, Mrs, Hall is thought to be slowly improving. Mr. and Mrs. T. M. Cook of Y^est Palm Beach will occupy "Hawk’s Nest", the sum mer home of Mr, and Mrs. Evelyn Harris on Baarpen Mountain, for the month of August, S. C, Creswell, former mechanic at Zoellner's garage, has just completed a mechanics* shop at his home in Glendale. Mrs, W.S. Ashton of Sarasota, Fla., arrived Saturday to spend the remainder of the seaon at her home on Mirror Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Wheeler and niece, Lona Lee, of Oveido, Fla., also iVIr. an Mrs. Cosby of Sarasota are guests for a few weeks at "Springdale" on Chestnut Street. Mrs. G. W.
