BOY SCOUTS LAY PLANS FOR
CHRISTMAS CHEER
An appcjal is made for children's play
things, broken or discarded, such as dolls,
wagons or other toys. These things will
bo repaired by the Boy Scouts and used
by them to gladden the hearts of children
at Christmas time.
Those who have articles of this kind
to give are asked to leave them with Lew

BISHOP TUCKER V/ILL BE HEARD AT
EPISCOPAL CHURCH SUNDAY MORNING
The Rt. Rev. Henry St. George Tuckor
of New York City, presiding bishop of the
Protestant Episcopal church, who is vaca
tioning at Kanuga Lake, will conduct the
morning service at the Church of the In
carnation here on Sunday, August 24th.
Bishop Tucker is a Virginian by birth
and was a missionary to Japan for a great
many years.
Only registered voters will be able
to vote in the bond election on September
2nd for a new county courthouse and Jail.
A complete county re-registration is be
ing made and tomorrow, August 23rd, is
the last day for registering.
CHANGES IN DILLARD I^AIL SCHEDULE
Mail via Dillard, Ga,, is now leaving
Highlands at 9:20 in the mornings and at
3:15 in the afternoons. Postmaster Potts
said all mail for this route must be post
ed by nine and three. Mail arrivals from
Dillard are 10:00 a.m and 4i55 p. m.
There is no Sunday mail on this route
and hours quoted are daylight saving time,
