At first thingd went alon^ slow but it didn*t take long for the people to get interested in it and they soon started to work. Up to this time our own county, Macoh, is in the lead with 179 pounds per capti. ^7e feel sure this could not be accomplished if it had not been for the cooperation shown by the citizens of every town and community in the county. The staff wishes to congratulate every man, V/oman and c];}ild in this cotmty for the way in v/hich they have answered the call for scrap. THE T'DITOR The outcome of the war wo are fighting will decide whether we are to live in froodom or whether we v;ill be driven around like sheep or swine. Millions of the people of this country have shown their love of freodon by buying V/ar Bonds and Stamps, But wc have not gone far enough. If Undo Sam is to strenghton his war machino and keep it running he must have billions of more dollars than ho has now. If you can't help by direct fighting, put at least ton per-cent of your crnings into Bonds.of Freedom, today, and keep it up.. THE EDITOR
