Geraldine Trit has been absent for
3 weeks with flu. We hope she will soon
be able to return,
Marybell Green, who has been absent
for several days is back again,
Margaret Vinson has been out with
sore throstt, Clemmie Henry has been ab
sent for several days.
As Easter is not very far away we
have been making Easter posters and look-

Ruth Ann Kernels step-father is in
the Franklin hospital.
We are glad Billy Tate’s mother and
father, Mr. and t'lrs, Phill Tate, aa?e out
of the hospital.
Marybell Green’s grandmother, Mrs,

We have been as busy as bevers for
the past few weeks, Robert Dendy made
a Confederate flag to go along with the
fifth ga?ade geography. The fifth grade
is studing about the VJar Between the

atudy of Communication and Transportation,
The fourth grade has been studying. about
how coal and petroleum were formed,
Mrs, Brysoh has just finished reading
a book called Lassie Come Home^ We have
memorized the 100th Psalm, We had a nice
Valentino Party» We are looking forvrard
to an Easter Partyo We hope that you

Fourth Grade News
Vfe have been studj/ihg about the many
changes in the ways of travels The first
improvement came with the invention of
the wheel* The next improvement came with
the invention of the locomotive and the
automobile. But the latest improvement^
we have studied about, is the airplane,
invented by the Wright Brothers, They
invented it at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina,
in 1903, But still greater improvements
have been made since,
Frances Berry has ,,one to Florida
for two weeks. She left Saturday, March

We are going to have an Easter Party,
which v;e are looking forr-jard to*
VJe are glad to get our bookcases and
we have a lot of books on it.

One of our pupils, Doyle Wood, went
to Spartenburg, South Carolina, where
he sang on television. We saw him. We
are proud of him,
