The Highlands Inter-Church Group
held their Fall meeting on Monday, Nov.
30th , at the Episcopal Church of the
Incarnation with nineteen inenbers re
presenting the Baptist, Methodist,
Presbyterian and Episcopal Churches
attending.
Sgt. Tom Chastian has returned
home after spending two years of service
in Germany*
The Highlands Methodist Church vjill
be presenting an annual Christmas pro
gram December 20, followed by the ex
changing of gifts in the the Fellowship
Hall.
' r Rev# Propst has returned home after
spending a few weeks in Fort Worth, Texas,
where he has been attending Southwestern
• Baptist Seminary.
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hinkley announce the
birth of a son, James "Jilliam, born
November 23.
i Martha Reese spent Thanksgiving with
her parents Mr. and Mrs. Joe Reese.
Mr, and I'lrs. Tony Migaiolo spent the
Thanksgiving holidays in Fontana visiting
Mrs, Migaiolo‘s parents, Mr, and Mrs.
Paul Crawford.
Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Hopper returned
last week from a visit with their son-
in-lavr and daughter, Mr. and Mrs, Morris
Wilson, in Alexandria, Va.

stationed at Fort Knox, Kentucky.
Charles Chastian has returned home from
Angel Hospital, Franklin, N, C., after
having undergone an appendix operation
last Saturday night, Charles is feeling
better and Td.ll return to school before
long.
Mr. and Mrs, Frank Henson spent
Thanksgiving holidays visiting relatives
in Florida.
Mr, and Mrs. 0. F. Summer spent
a few days over Thanksgiving holidays
visiting friends and relatives in South
Carolina. They are planning atrip to
to Fla. for the Christmas holidays.
Mi‘. and Mrs. Kenneth James, of
Scaly, announce the birth of a son,
bom Dec. 7 at Angel Hospital, Franklin,
N. C,
Mr. and Mrs. James Potts have been
visiting Mr. and Mrs, Tudor Callovjay_
and family in Fla.
Mr, and Mrs. Fred Hopper and family
spent Thanksgiving holidays visiting in
Atlanta, Ga. ^
Hiss Carolyn Carpenter and Mr.
Harold Prince were united in Holy
Matrimony, Dec. 6, 19^9 at the First
Baptist Church, by Rev, J. H. Propst.

A Christmas Cantata will be pres
ented Sunday night, Dec, 20, at the
First Baptist Church, The program will
be at 7:30 P. M.
College students who recently re
turned to school from Thanksgiving
holidays will soon be returning home
for the Christmas vacation. They include:
