SENIOR NEWS
The twelfth grade started the new
year by first electing the class officers.
President, Jane Jellenj Vice-President,

Today we ordered our graduation invit
ations and calling cards. This last year
looks to be a very exciting and busy year
for the Seniors,

ELEVENTH GRADE NEWS
The jiiniors are anxiously waiting
for their class rings which we ordered in
early Septonber* We expect them to come
in late November or early December,
We have started practicing for our
junior play which is to be given Friday,
October 28. It is a three act mystery
called "The Black Ghost,”
The juniors have ordered some books
to sell to raise some money. They are
called "School Daze," If anyone wants to
buy one you can see Joan Cleveland or
Wanda Hopper, The price is 60^,
Our class officers for this year are;

TENTH GRADE NEWS
Well, the sophomore class, as well
as the rest of the school, started a new
school year September 6, I960,
The sophomore class has gained a new
student. Her name is Sue Fowler.
Our class officers are as follows;
President, Gayle Bryson; Vice-President,
Billy Newton^ Secretary, Virginia Edwardsj
Treasurer, Shirley Baty; and Class Reporter,
Fran Vinson,

NINTH GRADE NEWS
We have elected our class officers.
They are the following: President,
Arnold Heddenj Vice-President, Ann Wax;
Secretary and Tresurer, Margaret McCartyj
and Reporter, Sandra Burriss,
We are sorry to say that Kathy Car
penter is going to leave us. She is
going to Laurel, Florida, We hope she
will come back soon,

the Anderson County Fair, We had a good
timei

EIGHTH GRADE NEWS
The first of the year was easy but
now the work is getting harder. We have
a science project of the Solar System weL'
underway.
We have elected our King and Queen
for the Halloween Carnival, They are
Mae Bryson and Steve Wilson, We are
getting ready to put up oiir halloween
decorations.
Several of the students in our room
attend U-H. We are glad to have the
President, Margaret Rogersj Secretary,
Ann Wilsonj and Song Leaders, Janie Baty
and Lucille Crain in our room.
Some of the pupils have been absent
due to accidents or illness. We are
glad to have them back,

SEVENTH GRAI® NEWS
Since this is the year we elect a
new president, the seventh grade had a
political debate. It turned out that
Kennedy won. However, this does not
mean Kennedy will be our next president.
Also a tax debate was held between
those who are for taxes and those who are
against taxes,
