EDITORAL
Once again the Smoke Signal, along
with all the students of West Montgomery
starts a new year. There is a choice to
be made as to the kind of year that we,
the students, will make it. How will you
spend it? Will you put forth maximum
effort in all your undertakings, both
scholastic and athletic? If you do, not
only will you find that you are giving
your school more, but the school will be
giving you more. Each individual must
decide if and when he will take advan
tage of the opportunities that will pre
sent themselves to him, because, never
fear, they will be presented.
The West Montgomery High School Li-
jbrary Club met October 4, 1962 for its
'first meeting.
I Miss Wilburn, cur librarian, gave us
isome helpful hints on our duties in the
■library. She also presided until our
officers were elected. They are as
follows:

I The library now has 326 new books,
!and ninety-four new books ordered. The
;library also has seven new recordings
‘and has ordered a new World Globe. In
the reference room a medical encyclopedia,
a pictured album of American History,
Tbe American Dictionary of Biography,
Current Biography, and The Congressional
Directory are being added.
