F. F. A.
The West Montgomery
Chapter of F.F.A. is now
killing out the hardwood
on the school property to
give the young pines, set
out last spring,more grow
ing power. The present
F.F.A, students plan to
have about four acres of
pines, progressing toward
maturity, for future West
Montgomery F.F.A. students.
The greenhouse project
is progressing fine. .The
young plants set out are
all growing according to
plan. If all the plants
continue to grow and pro
duce well, they should be
ready to market early this
spring. Much has been
learned from this project.
LIBRARY CLUB
The Library Club has
been busy in the making of
catalogue cards for our
two hundred new library
books. These books must
be accessioned and pro
cessed before their circu
lation, Another project
of the club has been the
processing of 49 new film
strips for class-room use.
Those students who conduct
the use of the audio-vis
ual equipment have been
busy presenting filmstrips
in the audio-visual room.
The library has acquir
ed a collection of the
best known conposers ac
companied by a filmstrip
of their lives and works.
Those students who are in
terested in music are in
vited to enjoy these fine
recordings. The library
staff has done a wonderful
job in securing this equip
ment for our library.
Study hall groups are
welcomed to view a special
selection of films on
sports and career guidance.
Miss Wilburn reports
that she and Mrs.Winn will
select a group of covered
book-reports to be dis
played in the library. The
book reports were prepar

will provide a colorful
addition to the library.
History, science, and
English groups have found
the periodical room a good
source of interesting
study.
As an aid for students
interested in a variety of
fields. Miss Wilburn has
ordered a special edition
of Master Plots, the Bible
Encyclopedia, An Index to
Poetry, .akS Who*s Who,
