It has some fine cartoons and jokes. * H; * Orange Peals—Orange, Mass., is a snappy paper, as the name implies. It is quite an elaborate affair and would be a credit to any school or community in the United States. The Hillbilly—Asheville, N. C., has a fine line of humor. Its car toons are as good as are found in any paper. * Hs H: The Critic—Lynchburg, Va., judg ing by the only copy we have re ceived this year is quite a complete magazine. * * * The Putnam Prattler—Palatka, Fla. Despite the name of the city, this is a very good paper. Rutherford Breezes—^Rutherford College, N. C., is indeed a refreshing breeze. It is one of our most wel come exchanges. * * Davenport Weekly Record—Le noir, N. C., is a good school paper devoting its space to news items and school activities. * The Forester—Forest City, N. C., is a welcome exchange. It has some very good poems in its latest issue. ^ * The Pointer—High Point, N. C., has a very live staff and is a live paper, which might be expected of such a wide-awake city. ^ Gold and Black—Concord, N.
