THE TWIG Y. W. A. CONDUCTS SUNDAY VESl’JJll (Continup.d from page one) It is the world’s best seller because it is God’s book. It contaius inessageg from peoples, it offers sufllcieut aid for the needs of all people of all na tions and races. The Bible shows the sinner the way of salvation and after he Is converted he finds in it messages that strengthen him in his beliefs. We were then shown what the Bible has meant to the life of a Chinaman, a Hindo and a Japanese. Three girls took these parts and told us what won ders the Bible has worked in the lives of the foreigners. Dorothy Turlington then gave us a vocal solo. The solo was followed by a talk on "The Bible Compared With Other Books.” In this the Bible does not suffer. No other book can be found that can really compare with it. No other book has been written in which the teaching, reproof, doctrine, prom ises, and comforts so nearly meet the needs of all men. We were also greatly impressed with the talk, ‘‘The Power of God’s Word.” In this was shown the exist ence of God's word down through the centuries: how, in spite of all the mighty attempts to destroy it, it has remained with God’s people and brought peace, salvation, and comfort to its readers. Helen Keller’s attitude toward the Bible is very beantifnl. She testifies with all zest that the Bible is the most wonderful and greatest book in all the world. STATli Y. M. V.
