THE TWIG ALUMNAE NOTES A few months ago when we wanted to see Gladys or Mary or Ruth, we Uad only to be a persiBtent stair- climber to locatQ her. We fait that, whatever be tlie records of previous senior classes, it would always be as simple a matter to And oi(r classmates. This was a sad delusion. We could not realize that we, who had held to gether for four years, could l)ecome so widely separated in a few weeks until we tried to learn where our classmates are located. The seniors of ’27 are to be found throughout North Carolina, and quite often we find them far be yond tho bounds of this State. Wo have not been able to learn where many are, and we ask them to let us know about thcmselves.- Cleone Cooper waa married to Carey Mumford July 28, at Mars Hill. Tlieir address is Skyland, N. 0. Jewel Askew is now Mrs. Henry B. Edwards of Shelby, N. 0. Mary Frances Biggers and Margue rite Harrison entered the ranks of tlic State B. Y. P. U. workers soon after graduation. Mary Ayseue and Addio Sprinkle are at tho Louisville Training School this fall. Mary Little continues to work with the State Department. Clarissa Poteat and Emily CUeok are continuing their studies at Columbia University. After their labors at Meredith, many girls arc enjoying this ‘‘semester" at liome. The rest of us must not be too unvious of these, among whom are Julia Cooke, V. B. Nichols, Margaret Laaalter, De Lesllne Tyner, Kathearine Harden, Mary Crawford, and Mary Herring. Mary Herring takes time to teach violin at the Fuquay Springs school, oven though she is busy stay ing at home. The teaching profession claims the majority of the class. Laura Weath- oTKpoon and Nancy Woods are teaching ill Shelby. Others are to be found as I'ollows: .Mabel Andrews, Spencer; Huth Uobeson County; Mildred Brass- well, Unionville; Olivia Brown.
