I The quostioii of what part the up- perctassincn shall take in the as similation of the freshmen has been a vital one on the N. C- O. W. campus for the last week or so. A feeling had been prevalent for some time that the former Big Sister idea luts pi'oved a failure, duo to its lack of organization. A nuis-s meeting was held, after several preliminary meetings con- eerning the sul)jeet, in Avhich several plans were ])reseiited to the student body as substitutes for the present system. At this meeting it was voted that the entire matter be left up to tlie incoming junior class, but that the name of Big Sister be con tinued. The plan, as finally evolved by fli' ineoming junior clas.s, is not radically dill'erent from the old |dan. '.riie main points of cUfference are that ihe ijii'ls who arc to act as big sisters under the new system must meet certain qualifications and will be appointed from the presi dent’s office. The big sisters will liave no ehoieo as to thpir little sis ters as in former years. The new system will have a definite organi zation with a chief big sister at its head. The big sisters \vill not live in freshmen hall with the freshmen, althoiigli this was suggested. This plan is not to be considered as final until it has been through the president’s office and has secured the approval of the administration. Cabolinian.
