The practices will begin ns soon after examinations as is possible. Toui’nameiits in sliuffle- board, ping pong, and other indi vidual sports will be held then also. However, the need for rest and re laxation during the week of exnms themselves has prompted the opening of the gymnasium every night of that week right after dinner. All the students are invited to come in at that time and bowl, play shuffle board, ping pong, badminton, and dart5. Council Appoints Girls To Act os Hut Hostesses The Hut, open on "Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday nights for dating from 7:30 till 9:50 is kept by hostesses appointed by the Student Council and ai>proved by the advis ory committeo. Two girls arc on duty at the same time. Foreign Born Girls Speak At Meeting The Colton English Club and the Meredith Chapter of Sigma Pi Al pha held a joint meeting January 14 in the Browsing Room. The program consisted of a dis cussion concerning customs, music, entertainments, and education of certain foreign coimtries. Those taking part M’erc: Evelyn La Salle, Jessie Diaz, Charlotte Green, Juli ette Kambis, and Ale.vandriu Kam- bis.
