Founders’ Day
The alumnae participated In Found
ers’ Day as has been their custom, as
well as privilege, since 1910. The mes
sages received and posted on the spe
cial bulletin board in Johnson Hall
(Administration building) gave evi
dence of their love and loyalty. The
response to their president's request
to "pledge by Founders’ Day and pay
by May Day” gave tangible evidence,
too, of this love and loyalty. Eight
per cent of the mailing list now have
paid or pledged to the Loyalty Fund
which, indeed, is a sure sign that by
commencement the figure will go over
the 25 per cent minimum goat. Then
also, the special flfteen-minute radio
program that afternoon gave oppor-
tnnity for further participation In the

Rumor has come to the alumnae
office that many groups met on Fri
day, February 5 to hear the annual
Founders’ Day broadcast. Reports
have come to the office that certain

tended the time one week—to February
19—for the return of the ballot sent
out with President . Laura Weather-
spoon Harrlll’s Pounders’ Day letter.
This Is the Hrst time the mailed ballot
has been used by our Association. Dur
ing commencement at the annual
alumnae meeting it was voted that the
ballot be competitive for the sake of
democracy In election. Therefore, two
names have been submitted for each
office instead of one. Please check
your ballot and return to the alumnae
office by February 19.
