January 23, 1953 THE TWIG Page five Plan Now for SummerWork At our chapel service Tuesday morning Rev. James W. Ray, the Baptist Student director for North Carolina, told of summer opportunities that are sponsored by the denomination for stu dents. Miss Anne Queen from the American Friends Service Committee in Greensboro told about Quaker work camps and seminars. Rev. William Rogers, an official of the North Carolina State College YMCA, told about YM and YW summer student projects. If you did not get information or application blanks Tuesday, then see Miss Garner in her office. All applications must be in by February 1, so decide now to join one of the many summer projects. CURTAIN TIME (Continued from page three) The title for this play was taken from Song of Solomon, Chapter 11, verse 15. As a special feature. Playbill, the official program for the Ra leigh Little Theater boasts a most outstanding cover. Since it was felt that the art work should parallel the mood of the quote and Biblical theme, Jeff Hill, a local artist who has received na tional recognition for his work in woodcuts, accepted the chal lenge to undertake this project. After a great deal of research and 100 hours of work, a print was struck from the handcarved wooden block. The desig^ shows three foxes, representing Re gina, Ben, and Oscar Hubbard. The foxes are bordered by grapes, all hanging down since, as such, they symbolize a period or mood of evil or depression. The original print can be seen in the Little Theater lobby during the remaining presentations of* The Little Foxes. On February 10, the Carolina Playmakers will bring Inspector General ,to our campus. I don’t have any details about the play, itself, but according to all re ports, it is one of the best. Re member that we have voted to support this performance and make plans now to attend. It would be a nice treat for that boy who has been spending his allowance on you—perhaps an early valentine? At any rate, be sure you treat yourself and see Inspector General in our audi torium on February 10. PLANS BEGIN (Continued from page one) present pastorate.
