Hudson Belk EFIRD'S Balmy breezes are blowing around campus .,. The sun is almost warm enough for a sun bath. Everyone is gfe'tUng dreamy eyed and deciding to get outdoors and away from the “books.” This is the time for walking, bicycle rides, horse-back riding, and taking pleasure trips to parts un known. It’s too early for spring fever but we’ve got it anyway. We start day-dreaming about the wonderful days ahead with Easter holidays on iheir way and beach parties planned for early spring. Then a problem comes to mind ... what to wear for all the occasions ahead ... Well, you can just guess who has the answer to these wardrobe problems ... Burton’s. 1 decided that since it was so pretty I would breeze to the Village and see what was new at Burton’s. You have no idea how many lovely things Burton’s is getting in every day. Now is the time to shop for Spring 80 that you will get first choice on all the new styles and colors. The new colors for Spring are gold, aqua, and pink in all kinds of combinations and shades. Just to mention one ensemble that caught my eye .. .White or aqua sailcloth coordinates by Pelti. Brenda Payne was having a “fit” over these co ordinates. She said they were so “cool” looking and so versatile ... Brenda was trying on the beach coat of white sailcloth with appliques of aqua and the matching bathing suit which was cotton and also had appliques. Brenda decided that she wanted the gathered skirt with aqua trim and the bolero that matched. Brenda said she found it hard to resist the aqua pleated skirt, ber- mudas. and aqua blouse that could also be coordinated with her purchases. I’m sure Brenda will make good use of her out fit during the coming season. Gigi Jackson was browsing through the bathing suits so that she could get a head start on the season. She told me that ihe selection was so varied and all the suits were so adorable she was having the hardest lime deciding on just one suit. The one she finally decided on was a yellow-gold suit of sail cloth with a contrasting darker gold trim. The suit had little- boy legs and was very flatter ing. It would be very comfort able and good-looking in or out of the water. As 1 was leaving Burton’s 1 was attracted by iheir windows which looked like the very breath of Spring. One window was done in navy ensembles which included suits, dresses, and costume suits. The outfits were completed with shoes in all the latest styles and the newest styles in hats. I’m sure from these windows you will be able to find the perfect Sjjring ensemble. I hope while the weather is pretty and Burton’s has a good selection ... you will go shopping in Burton’s. —Donna Cowles
