Page Four THE TWIG November 4, 1965 Seniors Choose Superlatives On Wednesday night, October 13, 1965, the senior class elected its senior superlatives. Judy Ham rick, an elementary education and sociology major from Winston- Salem and president of the Mere dith Recreation Association, was elected “Miss Meredith.” “Most Likely to Succeed” is Sandra Flynt, a religion major, also from Winston- Salem. Sandra is now president of the Meredith Christian Association. Kent Thompson, a psychology ma jor from Goldsboro, was elected “Wittiest.” Voted the “Friendliest” of her class was Marian Bunch. Marian is an elementary education and religion major from Edenton. Betsy Carlson, an elementary educa tion major from Wilmington, won the superlative for “Beauty.” Elected “Most Talented” was Sue Kelly, an English major from Tabor City. A Spanish major from Lexington, Sue Hilton won the superlative for “Class Spirit.” Voted “Most Intel lectual” was Nancy McClenny, a biology major from Lucama. De- linda Barrier was elected “Most De pendable.” Delinda is a math major from Concord. The “Most Athletic” superlative went to Barbara Wat son, a chemistry major from An- nandale, Virginia. Price Marsh, an art major from High Point, was voted the “Best All Round Dorm Student.” The superlative of “Best All Round Day Student” went to Janet Brown, a math major from Raleigh. Sara Ann Poole Chosen May Queen; Maid of Honor Is Marion Bunch Maid Marian and Queen Sara Ann discuss plans for May Day dresses. Miss Sarah Ann Poole, an ele mentary education major from Kin ston, is Meredith College’s May Queen for 1965. Sarah Ann, a tall blonde, has been a hall proctor, a marshal and a member of the nomi nating committee. “I couldn’t be lieve it was me,” she remarked when asked about her reaction to being chosen. Attending our May Queen as Maid of Honor will be Miss Marian Bunch, a religion major from Eden ton. Marian has been a hall proc tor and is now chairman of the legislative board and a member of the college chorus. Sarah Ann and Marian were chosen by popular vote of the stu dent body. Also competing were Sue Bell, Elaine Grumpier, Grace James, Sandra Morgan and Lynne Wainscott.
