CAROUSEL TICKETS THE TWIG ON SALE NOW! Newspaper of the Students of Meredith College yol. KLun MEREVITH COLLEGE, RALEIGH, hi. C. MOUEUBER 2, 7972 NO. 9 Class of ’74 Victorious By ROSEMARY STANKWYTCH Thursday, October 26, brought excitement, competi tion, and a satisfying climax to the Angel Farm. Halls, parlors, and minds were clut tered with last minute prepa rations. The excitement was surely confusing to the fresh men, who were not entirely sure what to expect. And most definitely for the seniors, for this was their last Corn- huskin’. The juniors triumphantly departed from Jones Auditor ium with the taste of victory mixing well with the flavor of the apples given to everyone present. Their “little sister” class, the freshmen, happily followed with second place resting upon tired shoulders. The seniors took third place home a little less jovially. The sophomores trudged out, possibly consoled by the fact that everyone made a com mendable and sincere effort. More important, Cornhuskin’ was a wonderful opportunity for the entire Meredith com munity to join together for good-natured fun. The judges viewed a variety of themes, from the freshmen “Mission Nutrition” to the sophomore “Circus”, from the junior “Around the World in 80 Days”, to the senior “Exodus”, with , of course, the faculty’s chance to be “Mean”.
