Populations program has
scheduled Wake County Fall
Special Olympics for 9:30 a.m.

5, at Cary Elementary School.
Volunteers are needed to
assist with this special
athletic program designed to
contribute to the physical,
social and psychological
development of mentally
retarded children. Call 755-

Sertoma Arts Center, 1900
Shelley Rd., will present a
free jazz concert at 3:00 p.m.,
Sunday, Nov. 9. “Just
Friends” - a jazz trio, will be
in concert in a program
supported by the City of
Raleigh Arts Commission,
with funds from the Grass
Roots Program of the North
Carolina Arts Council, a state
agency. Everyone is invited.

This year the Residence
Hall Board has initiated a new
and vital group in the campus’
communication network, to be
known as the Residence Hall
Council. This council consists
of the dorm president, vice-
presidents, R.A., plus the
added component of a student
representative from each hall.
Improving communications,
publicizing events, and
contributing feedback and
fresh ideas are among the
responsibilities of this group.
In organizing this council, the
RHB felt that the quality of
residence life could be im
proved through more effective
programming and better
communication.
