Fall issues are available to students in Mary Lay's office in Cate Center. The Psychology Club will be selling Meredith Angel Christinas Ornaments for Christmas 1980. They will be on sale for $2.00 during the dinner hours in the cafeteria and in the Student Store. Hie Art Club will be selling Christmas cards depicting famous works art for $.25. CCA and the Concert and Lectures Committee are now sponsoring the Student LectureSeries for anyone who has completed an independent studies, paper, exp^-iment, thesis or presentation. The series will begin in January and continue ttirough April with each participant receiving a $20.00 endowment. Announcements Any December graduate who would like to have a 1981 Oak Leaves mailed to her may do so by paying a $2.50 mailing fee. To register by mail, pick up a form in the Registrar’s office, fill out completely and Rose visits The History Department announces that Mr. John Rose, Clerk , of the House of Commons, will be a Kenan Visiting Fellow in August for four weeks. Mr. Rose is thoroughly familiar with British Parliamentary law, govern ment, and is an English representative to the European Economic Con ference. He associates with every major British and European politician and economist. Mr. Rose will teach a module on British government or the Eurcqjean Common Market-precise subject to be determined. He will adless the College and t>e available as a resource person to any interested in his expertise. Mr. Rose will return to Great Britain about Sep tember ;»th to attend the meeting of the European Economic Conference in Strasbourg. (Photo by Terri Hoffman) Panel notes On Monday, November 10, 1980, the Mediation Panel met at 7:30 to discuss three cases. The first case involved a student accused of theft. The case after being heard, was referred to Judicial Board. The second case con cerned a freshman accused of falsification of college documents. She was found guilty and denied Late Per mission for five days. Ilie third case dealt with another freshman accused of falsification of college records and leaving the dorm after closing hours. On the first charge, the student was found guilty and denied Late Per- misison for five days. For her second offense, she was found guilty and was given a strict wedcend campus. The Mediation Panel met 6n November 24, 1980 at 6:30 to hear a case concerning four students who had been driven around to their dorm by a male after closing hours. The regulation regarding this action can be found in the Handbook on page 67, Number 4. Three of the girls were given two call-downs each, and the other was given five call-downs ,due to cir cumstances of conduct. • The Judicial Board then niet at 8:00 to hear another case. This case involved a student accused of theft. She was found guilty by a jury and suspended by the Board.
