VOL. LIX, NO. 14 THE TWIG JVctpgpoper of the StudenU of JWergdUfc CoHei MEREDITH COLLEGE, RALEIGH. NORTH CAROLINA Elections changed FEBRUARY 11, 1981 by Maynell Jiriinson This year elections at Meredith College will be presented differently. The primary change will be in election of Hall Proctors with the first change being in the title. The office will now be titled “Hall Resident Advisor.” The major reason for this change in the election procedure for this office is to increase student awareness of the position’s importance. It is also hoped that the changes will increase student body participation in the Schedule elections election and support of these positions. In order to be nominated, a student may nominate herself or be nominated by other students, faculty, and administration. Following her nomination the prospective . candidate will be sent an application to be filled out and sent to the Dean of Students Office. This application will give the nominee the (^portunity to think seriously about her interests and qualifications. After a conference with a committee comprised of members of the Legislative Board and Student Development Staff, the nominees will then file and be elected by the Meredith student body. It is hoped that these changes will benefit all students and give those interested a chance to participate in an important position. Nomination forms may be picked up at the Dean of Student’s office.
