We as candidates for the positicm of ci^editors of the 1982-63 Oak Leaves
hope to continue the trend of a well organized staff with a few minor changes. In
(he future, we hope to see the Oak Leaves Staff recognized by SGA as a hard
working student organization at Meredith College. But most of all, we hope to
compile a yearbook that will capture all the memories that you, the students
want to remember for the 1982-83 school year.

GOALS & PHILOSOPHY:
The Concerts & Lectures Committee brings to Meredith’s campus
musicians and speakers which will interest and entertain students and faculty.
I want to find out what types of musicians and speakers students and faculty
are interested in, so tliat the Ck)mmittee can cater to their interests.
I believe that education goes beyond the classroom - it extends to the
concert hatl and lecture room. We have much to learn both from the language of
music and form the thoughts of others.

Meredith student. As chairman I want to make each student aware that the
Jward needs individual input of ideas and put into action to make residence hall
life the very best it can be. Residence Hall Board can be the center to get
f^back and see goals reached even surpassed - U each student takes the
challenge to feed in their desires!

GOALS & PHILOSOPHY:
Planning Wednesday services has taught me about organizing and about
worship at Meredith., The 1981-82 committee has tried to minister to the
spiritual needs of the Meredith community and to provide variety in the
servic^. My experience as chairman this year has also encouraged me to run
for this position again in order that I may aim higher in my goals for
Wednesday worships on campus.Iwould like to see more students, faculty, and
staff attend worship regularly. I hope for more thought-provoking, exciting,
confrontive times of worship for next year. Thank you for your support in the
election and especially for supporting Wednesday worship by your attendance
and concern.
