THE TWIG FEBRUARY 13, 1984 g EDITORIALS / LETTE^ EDITORIAL Improvements deserve thanks Meredith boasts a number of improvernents this year. Things are often criticized on the campus, but some time should aiso be ^?ent taking note of these improvements. Everyone involved in these projects should be thanked for the time and effort put into them. Some of the improvements include: -A bright spotlight placed in the nevi/ paved parking lot behind Poteat. -Le Greenhouse in Cate Center, a snack bar that offers nutri tional foods and snacks in a peaceful atmosphere. •A weight room In the gym with r^ular hours for students. -A paved sidewalk from Barefoot to Johnson flail. -A choice of three entrees at lunc^ and dinner instead of two. -The addition of a computer science major ^ inclusion of more computer science courses in the cunriculum. - -Addition of soft drinks to the cafet^a. -New iarxlscaping anMind the campus, e^>sciatly {he beds of flowers. -Inclusion erf a nurse practitioner at tKe infiiinary. -Inclusion of computer room in Harris. -Bright sculpture on the side of Jones Auditortiim. -Revision of the hall advisor p^ti.on. -Development of the Persbrial Growth Owt'w and its pro- gre^e for students.
