The sixth annual Freshman-Sophomore
Mathematics Contest was conducted for
Meredith students .on Saturday,..January.
This semester, Dr. Burgunde Winz has
also become involved with the project. The
joint efforts of both Dr. Comeaux and Dr.
Winz results in greater fluency on the part
of the ‘‘studfents.”
Teachers, from all departments have
been involved and.any interested faculty
member is welcome. Dr. Winz commented
that the new class has enabled faculty
members .to get to know each other in a
new environment.
Instead of just knowing each other
teacher-to-teacher. the class allows the
teachers to work together in the classroom
and gain knowledge of a subject that they
are not very familiar with.
So. if you are a faculty member and
have the 12:30 p^m: hour free oh Tuesdays
and Thursdays, come and join the clas.s. As
Dr. Winz and Dr. Comeaux say, ‘it's great
fun!"
