Make an Effort to Recycle
This year a project has begun on the Meredith campus. It will take only
a few minutes to participate in, but will help to save the earth’s natural
resources.
Meredith Recycling has placed green barrels in strategic locations over
the Meredith campus. Students will only have to drop paper which can be
recycled into the barrels and Meredith recycling along with Triangle
Recycling Services will do the rest.
What an easy way to help save the rainforests of Brazil and other trees
around the world!
Environmental issues are making headlines around the world and
Meredith students and faculty have an opportunity to be responsible citizens
(of the world) and do an easy step to help reduce this global problem of
constant logging.
Natural resources are not easy to come by and a new environment can’t
be bought at K-Mart, so be responsible and put paper that can be used again
in the green barrels.

Letter to the Editor
Concerning the new change in logo, I believe that the student body
should have had a say in the matter. I think of myself as being a part of
Meredith and decisions that affect Meredith also affect me, the student. I
realize the college is changing and we need to change with it, but along with
several faculty members, students and graduates, I don’t think the logo is
representative of Meredith and I would have liked our ideas and suggestions
to have been taken into consideration.
