Master Classes with Jack Arnold As part of a two-week lesidency at Meredith , Jack Arnold, formerly of the PUobotus Dance 'Hieatre, will offer a master dass on Saturday, January 19 from 1KK>-12:00 noonin Weatherspoon Gymnashun. Arnold is a BFA graduate from the North Carolina School of the Aits and an MFA graduate of University of North Carolina-Greensboro. He has returned to North Carolina after a three-year association with Pilobolus. Ihe fee for the class is $5.00, $3.00 for North Carolina Dance Alliance members, arxi free for Meredith students. For more infcmnation, contact the dance department at Meredith, 829- 8388. tareer Connections Amnesty Week Reclaims Lost Dishware Meredith's Student Government Association, along with Belk Dining Hall, is ^xxuoring an Amnesty Week in order to reclaim ‘lost" dishware. From January 14 through 18, tables will be set up in (he dining hall for students to return dishes that have been hiding in resideiKe hall rooms, at the ends of hallways, in pariors or laundry rooms. Tomorrows Business Women IVIeet There will be a TBW meeting on Wednesday, Janaury 16 at 6:30 p.m. in 214 Harris. A guest speaker will address the group and refreshments will be served. All members are urged to attend. Our speakers can be valuable sources of future employment. Please use this opportunity to help the college save money. Each plate that has to be replaced costs the cdlege $1.71; glasses cost 56*. Taking dishes from the dining hall is an Honor Code violation and, as of January 22, 1991, penalties will be enforced. Student Activities Calendar Update Please note the following corrections to the Meredith Colley Student Activities Calendar: Friday, April 26—Last day of classes; Monday, April 29—Reading Day; Wednesday, May 8—Last day of exams, music juries. Seniors Registration Workshops begin Monday, January 14 at 10:00 a.m. You have only three opportunities this semester to sign up for on-campus recruiting. Only students who did not register during fall semester are required to register if they plan to attend the recruitihg sessions. Resume woiicshops begin Friday, January 18at 10:00 aim. and all students who wish to prepare a resum6 should plan to attend one ^the three sessions offered. The presentation covers six major topics; Workforce 2000, Sources of Job Referrals, Cover Letters and Resumes, What is your group doing? Use the Meredith Herald to advertise your organization’s activities! Submit your short articles (typed, please) by Friday at noon for insertion in the following week’s edition.
