Sophomores Begin
New Tradition
by Janie Mullis
What does the sophomore
class have in the way of traditions?
The senior class looks forward to
graduation, the junior class has its
class ring ceremony, the freshmen
class finds everything new and
special. The sophomore class has
nothing. The remedy? A Father/
Daughter Dinner.
Saturday, February 23, begins
the new tradition as the
sophomore class sponsors the
First Annual Father/Daughter
Dinner. The buffet, accompanied
by a pianist, is for all sophomore
and their escorts. The escort can
be a father, grandfather, uncle or
step-father. If no one is available
to serve as an escort, another
student’s may fill in.
The dinner will begin at 7:00
p.m. at the North Carolina Stale
University Faculty Club with live
entertainment from Chapel Hill’s
"Cliff Hangers."
Tickets go on sale February 4
in the dining hall and are priced
at $16 per person. Net proceeds
will be donated to the sophomore
class.
