leaching Fellows Return to [Cainpus Teaching Fellows have returned to Meredith Campus after summer experi ences of work, travel and/or summer school. They welcomed nineteen fresh men Teaching Fellows by helping them move in, plan schedules and get oriented to college life. This collage of activities made for an action-packed beginning. A reception was held on August 15 to give Teaching Fellows and their parents the opportunity to meet administrators and faculty at Meredith. No sooner had the freshmen registered than a pizza luncheon was held for them by Sopho more Teaching Fellows at Pullen Park, This gave them the opportunity to get to know each other and share their thoughts of college life with Angela Toms and her planning committee. Teaching Fellows attended their first seminar with Director Dr. Mary Johnson. Freshmen will have as their theme. "Success In College ’ while sophomores place particular emphasis on multi-cul- tural experiences, using "It's a Small World " as their theme Junior are inter ested in becoming good teachers as well as good leaders, Seminars have been planned using 'Leadership ' as their theme The first class of senior Teaching Fellows was given information from public school mentors about interview ing. This year 's senior class is the first group of Teaching Fellows to student teach in public schools across Wake County. Get involved!!! Be a part of MRA!
