We are constantly reminded during the
Holiday season of the spirit of giving and
goodwill of man. I would like to take this
opportunity to recognize some giving and
goodwill that has been offered to the Herald
throughout the semester. L want to thank
everyone who has contributed to our news
paper this semester. Without all of the help
we have received, there would be no Herald
weekly (or, in some cases, not so weekly).
I would especially like to thank our devoted
staff for all of their hard work and willingness
to meet last-minute deadlines. We have a
great bunch of people that make an honest
attempt to cover the events on this campus
eveiy week, despite ongoing tcvsts, papers,
life crises, etc. And though you all don’t
receive much recognition, your contributions
are genuinely appreciated.
To all the student leaders who have con
tributed organizational articles and updates,
a big thank you. Your etforts have helped our
staff tremendously by allowing us to use our
time covering other events around campus.
Without your help, some of these evMits may
have unfortunately been left unpublicized.
Thank you again, and we look forward to
hearing from you next semester.
To the Editorial staff, we made it! Our first
semester is over without any nervous break
downs (to date), and we have greatly improved
the paper. I can’t say enough about how
appreciative T am for all of your efforts.
We’ve been a “rags to riches’* newspaper
since last May... well, okay, rags to middle
class. At any rate, we’ve come a long way,
baby! Thank you, Amy and Jessica, for all of
your hard work.
To our advisor, Ms. Miller, we owe you
much gratification. Thank you tor the end
less ideas, energy and enwuragement. 'Hiank
you, especially, for letting us create a publi
cation about the students, for the students,
and by the students of Meredith. You’re a
brave lady!
And finally to the students, faculty, ad
ministration and Publications Board of
Meredith, thank you for your continued
support. We print this newspaper every week
for you and about you. We hope you enjoy
seeing Meredith reflected weekly through
the eyes of our staff. Please continue to offer
your suggestions, ideas and support. And
look tor some exciting new changes in the
Herald next semester!
We wish everyone a happy holiday season,
and good luck on exams. See you next
semester!

Dear Student Body:
Undoubtedly, CORNHUSKIN’ ’91 was
THE BLOCKBUSTER OF THE CEN
TURY. L^*skeq) in mind that WHEN THE
CLOCK STRUCK TWELVE on Novem
ber 7, 1991, it was officially over. Now,
almost a month later, it should be merely a
PICTURE OF THE PAST, a memory.
However, IT»S A MYSTERY to all of your
class co-chairs why negative remaiks towards
each other cannot end. In any competition,
both negative and positive aspects will be
found, and you’re living in AN UNDER
WATER FANTASY if you disagree.
It will be all too soon before our days at
Meredith will be over. We’ve realized, like
many previous graduates, that THERF/S NO
PLACE LIKE HOME. As we sail ON THE
GOOD SHIP LOLLIPOP into next se
mester, let’s strive for a more positive ^itude
towards each other so the GOOD TIMES
CAN ROLL on the rest of the year.
WE CAN GO TOGETHER—we did it in
the amphitheater that night, classes cheering
for each other—united as one. Tliink of THE
PLACES WE STILL CAN GO if we put
any hurt feelings, bad remarks, etc. behind
us. We have to come back together after die
holidays as a student body. We are a rare and
envied group of women. We are THE H£W,
THE PROUD, THE MEREDITH AN
GELS.
Have a wonderful holiday, and we are
proud of you all.
Your CORNHUSKIN’ class co-chairs,
