April 3,1992 vane seven University of New Orleans offers study in France to high school and college students A chance of a lifetime will be offered to a select group of high school and college students wishing to earn col lege credit through the University ctf New Orleans (UNO) while living and studying in the south of France this summer. UNO’s The Glory of France program began in 1983 to give students the op portunity to improve their fluency in the French language and at the same time, to earn college credit. Through the collaboration of UNO and the Cours Intensif de Francais (GIF) . The Glory of France is taught at the University Paul Valery in Montpellier, France, from July 3 to July 31. College students who have completed at least two semesters of French and are in good standing at their respective universities are eligible to apply. The program is also open to high school students who have an overall B aver age and have completed at least two years d" French with a 3.25 or better and are at least 17 years old. Students will be taught by Univer sity of Montpellier and UNO faculty selected for their ability to integrate the travel and cultural experiences of the students with classroom learning. Students will also be a part of French culture through scheduled activities, field trips, and travels throughout southern France. An optional post study tour, July 31 - August 1, is avail able to all participants and features travel tofamous landmarks inFrance.
