Faircloth residence hall vandalized
by Amity Brown
Vandals pulled down the exit
signs at each end of Faircloth Resi
dence Hall's third floor sometime
between midnight Hiursday and 6
a.m. Friday, according to Becky
Bradshaw, Faircloth Residence Di
rector.
"It was very serious because some
of the wiring was almost pulled loose,
so whoever did it could have been
eletrocuted, or the wires could have
shorted out and caused a fire."
Bradshaw said.
The incident was discussed in the
hall meetings in Faircloth Monday
night.
"We discussed it soeveryone would
understand what happened and the
seriousness of the vandalism. We
asked Oiat if anyone had any infor
mation, heard anything or knew who
did it, to come forward and speak to
someone in a position of authority."
Bradshaw said.
Both signs were pulled down from
the ceilii^, but neither was discon
nected. Howevo*, the fixtures were
broken and had to be re^daced.
