Camcard introduced to Meredith
by Chri^na Peoples
Last year the freshmen re
ceived new computer-made
Meredith identi fication cards. This
year these Camcards are serving
us in many other capacities.
In the dining ha]I, resident
students must use their cards as
identification to get iheir meals.
Commuters can take advantage
of discounted meals in Belk Din
ing Hall.
The Meredith Supply Store
allows students to purchase books,
school supplies and Meredith
paraphernalia. The transactions
are quicker and easier than cash
and check shopping.
Camcards can also be used in
vending machines, photocopiers
andforCam-Tel paymeiUs. In the
fumre, the cards will used for laun
dry machines, book check out in
Campbell Library, voter registra
tion in student elections and ac
cess to restricted areas.
A Secure Spending account
is available through the Cam-Tel
office. A student can deposit any
amount and it will remain in their
account until spent. If a student
graduates or withdraws from
school the balance goes to her
student account and credit will be
returned to the student.
If a card is lost or stolen the
student’s account will be kept on
hold by notifying the Camcard
office.
Students do not have to de
posit money ina Secure Spending
account; however, all students
must have their Camcards acti
vated for identification purposes.
