The students enjoyed the fine cuisine of Hawaiian chicken, ribs, pasta, and fruit, while being enter tained by the Chapel Hill band The Rabbergasters. The students jammed and munched, listening to everything fi’om beach music to modern hip hop. By the loud singing that could be heard throughout the campus, the Flabbergasters will more than likely be welcomed back. Katherine Davis an MEA Com mittee chair said, “The Luau was successful. We listened to good music, ate good food, and had a good time!” The members of MEA were glad to see the turnout. Jennifer Pevehouse, also an MEA chair, claims, ‘There were tons of students.” But what is a Luau without a limbo contest?The delicious ribs did not slow the Meredith women down whentestingoutthelimbostick. They strutted their saiff and competed to see just how low they could go. It is possible to have lasting memories of the eventftil evening.
