Ms. Robinson first gave her Remembrance of Carlyle Campbell at the Campbell House in Buies Creek in November, 1994, when the Harnett County Historical Society celebrated the 100th anniversary of his birth. (The Campbell House was the home of J.A. Campbell, founder and first president of Campbell College, and the birthplace of two other college presidents— Cariyle Campbell and his older brother Leslie Campbell, second president of Campbell.) The departments of History and English and the Carlyle Campbell Library are hosting this celebration of Dr. Campbell’s 100th birthday, and everyone in the Meredith community is in vited. That area is reserved for visitors and staff. Reg istered students are not to park any place other than their assigned par^g lot. If students wish to park closer to their dorm on the weekend, they may park in the lots next to the classroom build ings ONLY (except the one next to Jones Auditorium). Tickets, auto-boots, and towing will be en forced at the owner’s expense. In the Meredith College Hand book on pages 38-9, it states that tickets are given 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This is a standing printed rule, therefore, ignorance is not an excuse. Also, students are reminded that they are responsible for their visi tors. If they have a visitor, they must obtain a visitor’s permit. If there are not any visitor’s spaces available, students must have their guests park by the classroom buildings. Security would also like to ask that facility members who have not already picked up their 1997 decal, to please do so between the hours of 8:00 and 4:00 p.m. Motivational speaker to address convocation contributed by Melissa Bryant ABA historian FellowMeredith students, we are in for a treat!
