The soccer team hosted a Raleigh 17-and-under team in a scrimmage game Friday after noon, while the Shaw University volleyball team hosted Meredith’s volleyball team in a scrimmage. Monday, Aug. 31. Meredith’s soccer team hosted a Raleigh club soccer team in a scrimmage. Both scrimmages were in prepa ration for the season’s first game against Mt. Olive College on Thursday, Sept. 3. Meredith’s soccer team will begin its home season on Saturday as they host the University of the South at I p.m. The tenacity, talent and team work allowed the volleyball team to come on strong in the srim- mage against Shaw. The volley ball team hopes to have a great season, which begins with a weekend tournament in Lynchburg, Va.
