Meredith Community gets “A Taste of
Research”
The Undersraduate Research Prosram culminated its summer 2002 program Thursday night by
showcasing work the summer produced.

This summer, Meredith pro
fessors teamed up with stu
dents who have similar
research interests. "A Taste
of Research," which was
held last Thursday, show
cased their achievements
thus far.
Meredith’s Undeigraduate
Research Program coordi
nated this event so the
Meredith community could
learn about the research that
Meredith students and fac
ulty are conducting.
The projects showcased
on Thursday represented
Meredith's educational
diversity. Research from
several departments at
Meredith was presented at
the event.
One project showcased
was Dr. Garry Walton and
Lori Anderson’s research
about Shakespeare on film.

dents."
Zingraff many students
tend to automatically
assume that research is for
graduate level study, but the
Undergraduate Research
Program "has fvnds for
projects at the edge of new
developments.’*
Zingraff said the program
is designed to "generate
opportunities for students to
take the next step in a par
ticular field through collab
orative projects."
